ROBERT HANSON

Robert Hanson created and is the chief designer of LEVAN-TC. He has taught Spanish at Henry Sibley High School for 26 years. Before that, he also taught at the University of Minnesota in Waseca. He created the Latino group ALMAS in 2001 to combat the drop out problem. He has been recognized for his efforts by being named to “The Order of the North Star” by the State of Minnesota in 2005, a semi finalist in 2004 and 2009 and as a finalist in 2006 for the Minnesota State Teacher of the Year, a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club International in 2011 and in 2013 was given the distinction “Local Legend” by the Saint Paul Area Council of Churches during their Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Breakfast event. He was recognized by then governor of MN, Tim Pawlenty, in 2009. In 2015, he was recognized by The Spanish Professions Association at the University of Wisconsin- River Falls and by the La Familia Expo in 2016. His ALMAS group has received both state and national recognition and the Latino graduation gap compared to the rest of the school at his high school has essentially been eliminated.

HENRY TORRES

Henry Torres has partnered with Robert Hanson on the LEVAN-TC app. He has worked with many corporate law firms in NY and in the Twin Cities; the likes of Rogers and Wells, New York (litigating file clerk) and Dorsey and Whitney, Minneapolis (paralegal). In addition, he has led teams at Carlson Marketing World Wide, Best Buy and USBank.

He has also served as an Executive Director & Co-founder for a non-profit organization, Diversity Into Action for the past 3 years and currently serves on the East Side Neighborhood Services, Minneapolis board.


Henry has established strong relationships with for profit and non-profit organizations, and companies targeting Hispanics and other Multi| Cross-Cultural communities. He has helped elevate the lives of our marginalized, underserved, under-employed and unemployed communities. Henry does this by engaging his vast network of business partners in providing resources. He has also hosted over 20 diversity career and resource fairs throughout the Twin Cities in the past 4 years. He has helped over 600 job seekers (from diverse backgrounds) gain employment with many small, medium and large companies. He serves as President of Value of Five a Marketing firm and publisher for DIA Navigator Magazine; a community Multi/Cross-cultural business print and news site. He has also published; The Seasoner Magazine, Hispanic Tiempo Magazine, and Vida y Deportes (Spanish sports and well-being digital site, which will be launched early spring 2018).
